Sushi Kata Japanese Restaurant

Came in with a reservation because I wasn’t sure if there would be a wait time- I was greeted immediately when I walked in, & by name! Had a table waiting for me, and received immediate service from Kim’s smiling face! I ordered some of my favorite “go to” rolls, and all of them were amazing. You can tell this quickly becomes peoples “go to” restaurant. Customers coming in and out to eat, pick up orders, most greeted by name. Love this restaurant and the workers! I’ll definitely be coming back! 💕

This place is absolutely deserving of its rating. It’s unbelievable the amount of fish they give you for prices 50% lower than anywhere else, and it’s really high quality too! The maguro is melty and flavorful, the rolls are large and well portioned, and the gyoza is absolutely killer. Great flavor, perfect fry.
On top of all that they have the to-go process absolutely nailed.
The simple answer to whether you should go here is: you’d be out of your mind not to.

These guys really know how to do it! The service was very personable, probably the owners serving us. They were very attentive, smart, and funny.
The food came out pretty quick, and everyone got free miso and salad, both of which were delicious.
I ordered tempura appetizer, tuna and salmon nigiri, and caterpillar roll. Two large nigori sakes as well. All were delicious. Things rolled by pretty quick, and with a party of 6, we spent $145 with a generous tip.

Okay, probably the best local sushi spot in Milwaukie. You really won’t find better quality for a better price, not to mention, the owners/workers are the kindest people. Order from here. Support this business. They deserve it. ❤️
